Holding "Russian Helicopters" (part of “Rostekh” state corporation) conducted an audit of the Vietnamese “Helitechco” enterprise and granted it the right to repair Mi-17 helicopters of civil purpose.This was announced by Igor Chechikov, Deputy General Director of the after-sales service holding, TASS reports.
"Now there are such centers, primarily in Vietnam - this is our joint venture Helitechco. In September we conducted its audit, and this center got the rights to service Mi-17 helicopters of civil purpose. Also, the possibility to repair military helicopters on the basis of this center is being discussed, "Chechikov said.According to him, relevant negotiations are also being conducted with a number of other countries in the region, but they are still at the initial stage.
The joint Vietnamese-Russian repair company Helitechco exists since 1994. During this time, it repaired more than 80 civil helicopters of state and commercial operators in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, India, Australia and New Zealand.
