Russian Helicopters will build and equip a helicopter training center in the interest of the Land Forces of Peru. The creation of such a center in the Republic will allow Peruvian pilots of Russian-made Mi-171Sh helicopters to undergo training in Peru, the press service of the holding informs.
The construction of a helicopter training center in the capital of Peru, Lima, will begin in the near future after completion of the necessary formalities by the Peruvian party.
Holding "Helicopters of Russia" together with JSC "Rosoboronexport" has already found a contractor in Peru and intends to monitor the construction process when creating a training center to maximize their quality. With mutual agreement with the Peruvian side, Helicopters of Russia plans to complete the construction of the center in the second half of 2017.
"The Peruvian market is extremely attractive to us. In order to strengthen our market positions in this country, we, on our own initiative, finance a very costly construction of a helicopter training center, not envisaged by an offset project, to provide our partners with a wide range of training opportunities for flight personnel in Peru, in the shortest possible time, "said the Deputy Director General for After Sales Service Holding company "Helicopters of Russia" Igor Chechikov. "I would particularly like to note that the Russian Helicopters holding, if there is an appropriate request, is ready for additional deliveries of Russian aircraft to Peru."
